OHS' Young follows through on commit to Georgia State

Marlon Young announced on Wednesday that he has signed to play football with Georgia State. The Opelousas High senior announced his decision in front of his teammates coaching staff and family members during a brief ceremony in the school library. With Young on signing day were his mother, Marilyn J. Young, and father, Marvin C. Young. Behind the family are OHS defensive coordinator Kip Duplechine and head football coach Doug Guillory.

OHS will be hosting another blood drive on Friday, April 20, 2018. Donors must bring proof of identification with them, and be at least 17 years old to donate.

Soccer puts Menard on path to future

Miranda Menard signs a Centenary College scholarship Friday as her parents and Opelousas High soccer coaches watch the ceremony. Menard was the Tigers' leading scorer this season with 16 goals.
