Soccer puts Menard on path to future

Miranda Menard signs a Centenary College scholarship Friday as her parents and Opelousas High soccer coaches watch the ceremony. Menard was the Tigers' leading scorer this season with 16 goals. Opelousas High earns national recognition

The National Beta Club is recognizing Opelousas High School as a 2016-2017 National Beta School of Merit. This honor is bestowed upon the school as recognition of its dedication and commitment to academic excellence for our students.
OHS will be recognized in a list published at the 2017 National Beta Convention.

Blood Drive a success!

Opelousas High School hosted it's first Blood Drive for the 2016-2017 school year. Mrs. Leger was hoping for 45 pints of blood to be donated, and was surprised that we went over the quota by having donated 55 pints of blood. The Blood drive was scheduled for Wednesday, September 7th, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. Students 16 years or older, with proper i.d., were encouraged to participate in the drive, and received a free t-shirt for their efforts in doing good in our community. Way to go TIGERS!

An Invitation to Faculty, Staff, Students, and Alumni

Our alma mater is in need of your help to inspire present-day Tigers to follow in these footsteps to become successful. We are desperately in need of an outdoor concession stand with restrooms to serve supporters of our soccer, baseball, softball, track, and junior varsity football programs. This building will be placed near the track and baseball fields. We have the blueprints, and the estimated cost of construction is $200,000.
